Description
The Sonoff Dongle Max connects Zigbee 3.0 devices to Home Assistant or Zigbee2MQTT and additionally supports the Thread standard. For connectivity, you can choose between Ethernet with PoE power supply, Wi-Fi according to IEEE 802.11b/g/n in the 2,4 GHz band, or a classic USB Type-C connection, allowing the gateway to be flexibly positioned depending on the installation location.
Inside, two chipsets work together: the EFR32MG24 handles Zigbee and Thread, while the ESP32 is responsible for Wi-Fi communication. This combination enables stable operation over a temperature range of -10 to 60 °C. The housing is made of aluminium, PC and ABS.
Power supply is provided via 5V/1A through Type-C or via 48V/0,25A through PoE on the RJ45 connector. In terms of operating system, the gateway is compatible with Linux and Windows and is aimed at users who want to operate their smart home network with open platforms.
