Vision
A warm welcome to ultimus.ch. We are an independent Swiss online shop that started in 2019 with a clear vision:
Shopping online should be simple, reliable and personal. No complicated processes, no anonymous hotlines, but people who listen and find solutions.
Today we are a versatile 15-strong team of designers, developers, logistics specialists and customer service staff. What defines us is personality, creativity and the joy we take in what we do – always with heart and character.
We work decentrally, use modern tools and value the freedom to be creative and flexible. What unites us is the pleasure of making good products accessible while relying on automated processes that keep our service fast, dependable and competitive. Our warehouse and office are located in beautiful Thusis – in the heart of Graubünden, where we are rooted and where we keep developing our company step by step.

How We Work
Many products are shipped directly from external warehouses. This shortens the journey and allows for attractive prices. At the same time, we make sure that every order reaches our customers reliably. And if something does go wrong, we fall back on our satisfaction guarantee – with a straightforward replacement delivery or refund.
Our USP
We develop our own smart IT solutions for order processing and inventory management, and we work continuously on improving our processes. Our IT operations make sure that all systems run reliably. In doing so we rely on a flexible, decentralised team that works efficiently and delivers fast solutions with both heart and mind.
Who We Are
Our team is a colourful mix: from creative minds who craft copy and designs, to developers who program smart systems for inventory and order processing, through to the people in customer support who make sure every day that questions are answered quickly. Everyone brings their own personality – and that is exactly what makes us strong.
The Team
Max
Max is our self-proclaimed “manager for everything nobody else wants to do” – and therefore also the CEO of Ultimus. Since founding the company in 2019, he has made it his mission to make customers, employees and partners not merely satisfied, but thoroughly happy. Max flourishes in our freestyle working environment. You will often find him at a mountain lake, turning new ideas into reality with his laptop. He lives in beautiful Thusis and loves speed (quite literally, because nothing gives him more pleasure than being out on two wheels). If Max could pick a superpower, it would be flying – which comes as no surprise. His motto is simple but telling: “Own the day.” And that is exactly what he does, combining creativity, vision and a healthy dose of enjoyment at work to move Ultimus forward.
Nora
Nora has been part of Ultimus since September 2019 and began her career in product management. Over time she expanded her remit to customer service and eventually took over the management of day-to-day operations. Today she makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and keeps pace with the company's rapid growth and constant development. Nora has watched Ultimus grow from a small online retailer into a major player in the industry, and she is incredibly proud to be part of that journey. She works closely – and very happily – with Max and the wonderful team, and regards Ultimus as her second family. Nora originally comes from Hamburg and moved to the United States more than 17 years ago, a country she now considers home. In her private life she treasures the time she spends with her husband, her three children and her dog, no matter what they get up to. If she could have a superpower, it would be the ability to teleport and explore the world together with her family. Her guiding principle: “Survival of the fittest.”
Leandra
Leandra has been part of the Ultimus family since 2020. As the point of contact for all legal matters, she supports the team with expertise in employment law, data protection, contract law and tax law – always ready to untangle complex questions with ease. What does she value most about Ultimus? The incredibly kind, supportive colleagues and the fresh, youthful atmosphere that makes working together a real pleasure. Leandra originally comes from Switzerland, but she has been living in Bali for more than five years, where she sweetens everyday life with a matcha latte, a good podcast or simply a stroll through nature. If she could choose a superpower, it would be invisibility – perfect for slipping into any situation unnoticed. She lives by the motto: “Grateful for what is – at peace with what isn't.”
Irakli
Irakli is a talented software developer from Georgia who has been making waves at Ultimus since 2021. His main task? Developing and maintaining the software architecture that keeps everything running smoothly. What he likes most about working at Ultimus is the people. Known for his calm manner and his sharp skills, Irakli brings plenty of energy to the team – fuelled by his love of chocolate cookies. If he could choose a superpower, it would be an extraordinary sense of smell – perfect for sniffing out bugs in the code and fresh cookies alike. He lives by the inspiring quote: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” That shows clearly in the quiet confidence and dedication he brings to every project.
Shota
Shota is our IT management professional and has been making sure everything runs smoothly at Ultimus since 2021! Our likeable colleague from Georgia ensures that our IT infrastructure stays stable and business operations keep going – even when the odd annoying software glitch creeps in. What he values most about his work here is the freedom and flexibility that allow him a happier life, leave room for new technologies and give him the chance to contribute to something with real growth potential. Away from work he enjoys the little things in life – such as when Irakli trips up now and then (all with a wink, of course!). If he had a superpower, Shota would cure baldness worldwide – and he lives by the legendary motto: “A Don doesn't wear shorts.”
Eliza
Eliza joined Ultimus in March 2024 as part of the customer support team. Professionally, she thrives when she can help customers, answer their questions, solve problems and occasionally even avert a minor catastrophe. She enjoys the variety of her role, the flexibility of remote work and belonging to a supportive team where no two days are the same. Eliza originally comes from Bulgaria and now lives in Sweden. She finds joy in the small moments – especially spending time with her daughter and watching her discover the world with curiosity. If she could have a superpower, it would be the ability to speak every language. She lives by the inspiring motto: “Every challenge is nothing but a hidden opportunity.”
Patrik
Patrik joined Ultimus in 2024 as an IT administrator and developer, contributing his expertise to the development and maintenance of the company's IT environment. He appreciates the straightforward, pragmatic culture at Ultimus, where the absence of unnecessary bureaucracy allows everyone to make a meaningful contribution. The flexibility to work from anywhere and set his own schedule is another aspect he values. Patrik originally comes from Switzerland and today lives in rural north-eastern Thailand, next to a rice field and far away from the usual tourist trails. Everyday life is enriched by the presence of his family – especially the moments he spends with his little daughter or his four-legged assistant during work breaks. Given the choice, he would pick time travel as his superpower. His guiding principle, “Keep it simple (even if that isn't always possible...)”, reflects both his professional and his personal outlook on life.
Airi
Airi joined Ultimus on 1 July 2025 and took on the role of assistant with genuine passion and enthusiasm. Her main duties include order processing and managing emails, but what she enjoys most is the variety and the feeling of doing something meaningful every day. The opportunity to learn, grow and take on different tasks motivates her, especially within a team that is both supportive and positive. Airi lives in the Philippines and finds joy in life's small things – whether it's surprising her family with little gestures or surrounding herself with anything pink, from notebooks and clothes to her phone case. If she had a superpower, she would wish for the ability to fly – to glide through the air and experience the world from above. Her personal motto, “With God all things are possible”, reminds her to stay rooted in faith and to pursue her dreams.
Fábio
Fábio is head of the logistics department at Ultimus and responsible for making sure that every customer receives their order in the best possible condition. This task calls for reliability and care – qualities he fully embodies. What motivates him most at Ultimus is the sense of responsibility that comes with his work, knowing that what he does has a direct impact on the customer experience. Fábio originally comes from Margem Sul in Portugal – a place he proudly calls the most beautiful in the world – and finds joy in the contemplative beauty of everyday life, especially in watching the sunrise. If he could choose a superpower, it would be teleportation – to cover long distances in an instant. His personal motto, “Be better every day”, encourages him daily to keep moving forward and improve step by step.
Florian
Florian – although most people simply call him Flo – is the newest member of the Ultimus team as of 1 October 2025! As an accountant, Flo will take care of everything from payroll and VAT to taxes and annual financial statements, keeping the world of numbers in perfect balance. Swiss by birth, he is looking forward to being part of a modern and open company where growth and fresh ideas can thrive. Away from work it is often the small things that bring him joy – such as cycling and watching the sun break through the clouds. If Flo could pick a superpower, he would most like to fly through the sky and look at the world from above. And when it comes to his guiding principles, he firmly believes in karma: what goes around comes around.
Amelia
Amelia joined us in 2025 as head of business development. In her role she is responsible for maintaining supplier relationships, overseeing procurement processes and ensuring smooth purchasing operations. She enjoys being part of a collaborative, forward-looking team. Amelia takes pleasure in the small things in everyday life, such as a good cup of coffee, a walk in the fresh air or sharing a laugh with colleagues. If she could choose a superpower, it would be time travel, so she could experience different eras and learn from them. She is particularly interested in the future. Her personal motto is: “Stay curious and always keep moving forward.”
Laurencja
Since joining Ultimus in August 2025, Laurencja has enriched the team with a dynamic mix of organisational talent and hands-on support. She is responsible for both administrative tasks and warehouse and shipping operations, enjoys the variety each day brings and appreciates the balance between office and operational work. Laurencja originally comes from Poland and lives in Switzerland today. She loves hiking in the mountains. If she could choose a superpower, she would be in several places at once – fitting for someone who is always ready to help wherever needed. Her guiding thought: every experience is a chance to grow.
Shane
Shane joined Ultimus in September 2025 as an order management specialist and quickly became an important part of the team for day-to-day operations. From coordinating suppliers and logistics to monitoring orders and invoices, she enjoys the constant opportunity to learn and to strengthen her communication and problem-solving skills. Shane originally comes from the Philippines and finds joy in simple things such as eating ice cream and relaxing with a good film. Her dream superpower would be invisibility – perfect for exploring the world in peace and quiet. She lives by the inspiring motto: growth takes time, just like a butterfly that emerges through transformation.
Marifel
Marifel has been part of the Ultimus team since January 2026, supporting order management, supplier communication and logistics coordination with commitment and a positive attitude. What she values most is the supportive atmosphere at the company, where teamwork and sharing knowledge help everyone grow together. Marifel lives in Laguna in the Philippines, where she looks after her daughters and her beloved cats while unwinding with TV shows in her free time. If she had a superpower, she would opt for teleportation – it would make life a little easier and adventures a little faster. Her personal motto, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, reflects the positive attitude and strength she brings to both work and everyday life.
Roshan
Roshan joined Ultimus in February 2026 as an order management specialist and appreciates the company's collaborative, growth-oriented environment. She enjoys learning from her helpful colleagues and continuously develops both her technical and her communication skills. Roshan originally comes from Laguna in the Philippines and finds her motivation in giving something back to her family, especially her mother. Outside of work she likes reading romance novels and watching TV shows. Her dream superpower is time travel, and she believes that “life often opens the right doors when something is truly meant for you.”
Catherine
Catherine joined Ultimus in February 2026 and supports the team by tracking invoices and ensuring smooth order processing. She particularly likes the strong team spirit that helps everyone reach shared goals together. Catherine lives in Laguna in the Philippines and enjoys quiet mornings with a cup of coffee. In her free time she likes to draw or try out new recipes she discovers online. If she could choose a superpower, she would combine healing powers with shapeshifting – a creative mix that reflects both her caring and her imaginative personality. Her personal motto is simple but meaningful: make your younger self proud.
Jonas
Jonas joined Ultimus in April 2026 as a product data engineer and supplier integration specialist, making sure that product data travels smoothly from suppliers to the company's platforms – ideally without unexpected surprises. His responsibilities include automating data flows, integrating new suppliers and, occasionally, a bit of detective work when data feeds develop a life of their own. Jonas originally comes from Switzerland and today commutes between Europe and East Africa, working wherever there is reliable internet and enough coffee – or Monster Energy. Outside of work he spends time with his daughter and loves diving in the sea, fitness, tech projects and finding creative ways to automate everyday tasks. If he could choose a superpower, it would be breathing underwater without diving gear. His motto, “Trust is good, control is better”, applies in his view to life just as much as to data and software.
