Description
The Xiaomi Mesh System Starter-Set consists of two factory-paired units that connect without complicated setup to form a seamless Wi-Fi network. One unit serves as the main router, while the second is simply switched on and automatically joins as a mesh node. This creates coverage of up to 260 square meters, providing uniform reception even in apartments with multiple rooms or floors.
Thanks to Wi-Fi 5 Dual-Band technology, up to 300 Mbit/s are available on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band, allowing the network to be used according to range or speed requirements. Two Gigabit WAN/LAN ports per unit also allow wired connection of individual devices or fixed linking of multiple routers to each other. Encryption is performed via WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK.
With support for up to 120 simultaneously connected devices, the system is suitable for households with numerous smartphones, streaming devices, and smart home components. The network is managed via the Mi Home or Xiaomi Home app for Android and iOS, through which the set can be expanded with additional units as needed.
