Description
The Sonoff Dongle-PZG23 is a USB gateway for smart home networks according to the Z-Wave 800 standard. Inside, the EFR32ZG23 chip works with a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M33 processor, 512 KB of flash memory and 64 KB of RAM, enabling stable management of larger device networks. Via the RP-SMA antenna with a gain of 2 dBi, the dongle supports Z-Wave long range and achieves a range of up to 1000 meters outdoors according to the manufacturer.
The gateway can be integrated into various home automation environments, including Home Assistant, openHAB, Z-Wave JS as well as Linux, Windows and Raspberry Pi systems, enabling centralized control of devices from different manufacturers. Data transmission is encrypted by the Z-Wave S2 security standard. The aluminum and PC+ABS housing is designed for an operating temperature range of -10 to 60 °C and operates via a 5 V power supply with a current consumption of 500 mA.
