Description
The MSI B840 GAMING PLUS WIFI is a classic black ATX motherboard based on the AMD B840 chipset and provides the AM5 socket for AMD Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 processors. Four memory banks accommodate DDR5 memory up to 256 GB and achieve clock speeds up to 8000 MHz, which provides sufficient headroom for current multitasking and gaming requirements.
For data storage, two M.2 slots and four SATA-III connectors are available, which can be combined into RAID arrays of levels 0, 1, and 10. Network connectivity is provided via 2.5-Gigabit Ethernet and WLAN according to the Wi-Fi 7 standard with Bluetooth 5.4, complemented by the Realtek ALC897 audio chip for sound output. On the rear are USB-A and USB-C connectors as well as an HDMI 2.1 output, while five fan connectors support cooling of the case and components. Overall, the board offers with four PCIe-x16-Gen3 and one PCIe-x16-Gen4 slot expansion possibilities for graphics cards and other expansion cards.
