Description
The Minisforum MS-02 Ultra is a mini-PC barebone based on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX, a processor with 24 cores and threads, 36 MB of cache, and a maximum clock speed of 5.5 GHz with a TDP of 100 to 140 W. For integrated graphics, the Intel Graphics unit is responsible, supported by an NPU with 13 TOPS for AI-accelerated tasks. This makes the device suitable for computationally intensive professional use scenarios.
RAM can be expanded to up to 256 GB DDR5 via four SO-DIMM slots. For mass storage, four M.2 NVMe slots are available with up to 8 TB capacity each, which can be combined into RAID arrays of levels 0, 1, 5, or 10, thus combining high capacity with failure protection.
For network connectivity, the system uses two 25GbE SFP+ connectors as well as one 10GbE and one 2.5GbE RJ45 port, complemented by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For peripherals and video output, USB4 Type-C with DisplayPort support, USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, and HDMI 2.1 are available. The integrated 350 W power supply in 1U standard format and the Kensington security lock round out the equipment for professional use. Windows 11 Pro is the intended operating system.
