Description
The Minisforum UM790 Pro is a Mini-PC barebone based on the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, an octa-core processor with 16 threads based on Zen 4 architecture in TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process. With a base clock of 4.0 GHz and boost up to 5.2 GHz, it handles multitasking and computationally intensive tasks quickly. The integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics unit handles image processing and supports both graphics-intensive applications and playback of high-resolution videos.
For connectivity, there are four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, two USB4 ports, two HDMI outputs, an audio connector, and a DMIC, supplemented by an RJ45 2.5G Ethernet port for wired networks. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity to the Internet and peripheral devices. The system supports DDR5 memory up to 64 GB on two slots and can be equipped with an SSD up to 4 TB.
Cooling is achieved via the Cold Wave 2.0 system with liquid metal cooling, which actively cools RAM and SSD as well. Thanks to its compact size and VESA mounting, the UM790 Pro can be mounted space-savingly on the back of a monitor.
