Description

The LAPP Mobility Dock UK enables charging of plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles via an ordinary British household socket of Type G. As an in-cable control box for Mode 2 infrastructure and Mode 3 charging cables, it provides the connection between the power grid and the vehicle with Type 2 connector when no wallbox or charging station is available.

The enclosure is made of oil-resistant plastic and is designed for an operating temperature range of -25 °C to 45 °C, making the dock suitable for both mobile use and in a home garage. An unlocking lever releases the connected Type 2 cable after charging with a single action, a fold-out torque support bears the weight of the dock and cable from the socket, and an LED power indicator light in the enclosure shows the current status.
