Description
The AVATTO ZDS16 is a compact opening sensor for doors and windows that is integrated into a smart home via Zigbee and requires a hub. It detects the distance between the sensor and magnet at approximately 23 mm and triggers an alarm that is transmitted via the Tuya or Smart Life app to Android and iOS devices.
Through the app, scenarios can be defined, such as automatically switching on lights when a door opens, and the sensor can be linked with other smart home devices. Control is via smartphone or tablet, and there is also compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. A display warns when the battery level is low of the integrated CR2032 cell, which according to the manufacturer lasts over one year at approximately 20 triggers per day.
The white plastic housing is designed for indoor use and operates in a temperature range of -10 °C to 55 °C. Thus, the ZDS16 is suitable for anyone who wants to easily integrate existing doors and windows in the residential area into a Zigbee security solution.
