Description
The GL.iNet GL-RM10 Comet Pro enables complete remote access to a computer, workstation, or server without requiring physical presence at the device. It connects via both Wi-Fi 6 in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands as well as Gigabit Ethernet and can automatically switch the connection if either path fails. For video transmission, an HDMI interface with 4K@30 FPS and HD pass-through is available, allowing simultaneous local and remote display. The hardware-based H.264 encoding maintains latency at 30 to 60 ms, enabling smooth operation during system configuration, server management, BIOS setup, and troubleshooting.
The switch is controlled via a 2.22-inch touchscreen or optionally via app and web browser, such as for Wi-Fi configuration and cloud service management. An integrated bidirectional audio function allows voice communication between local and remote users, making it suitable for remote support, training, or conferences. Target devices are controlled via USB-C for keyboard and mouse as well as a USB 2.0 Type-A port, while internally a 4-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with 1 GB RAM and 32 GB storage runs Linux 6.1. A touchscreen lock via 4-digit code along with two-factor authentication further secure access, and power is supplied via USB Type-C at 5V/2A with consumption below 8 W.
