Description
The Garrett Pro-Pointer II is a handheld pinpointer that indicates the exact location of metallic objects in the ground. Thanks to automatic or manual tuning, it adapts to different ground conditions and suppresses interference from saltwater, wet sand, or mineralized soil. Signaling is via proportional audio and vibration pulses that become stronger as the distance to the target decreases, allowing closely spaced objects to be distinguished from one another.
The device detects its target all around the tip with a diameter of 2.2 cm, allowing scanning from virtually any direction with minimal movement. The housing and electronics are protected to IEC 60529 IP66 standard against water and dust, and the tip can even be briefly submerged. An integrated LED flashlight supports operation in poor lighting conditions.
The Pro-Pointer II is powered by a rechargeable 9-volt battery with approximately 8 hours of runtime; alternatively, an alkaline battery provides up to 30 hours and a carbon battery up to 16 hours. A loss alarm activates after 5 minutes of inactivity and automatically shuts down the device after 60 minutes, reducing power consumption between uses.
