Description
The Rapid PLA+ filament from Elegoo is a polylactide-based material in gray color, designed for fast and technical 3D printing. The subtle coloring is particularly suitable for utility projects, prototypes, and structural components where precision and repeatability are paramount.
With a nozzle temperature of 200 to 230 °C and a print bed temperature of 35 to 65 °C, the filament can be processed on common printers, a structured PEI plate is recommended as the print surface. The melting point is 160 °C, which allows for rapid melting and uniform flow from the nozzle. This makes print speeds of up to 600 mm/s achievable, provided the printer is properly configured.
A tensile strength of 39 ± 2 MPa, flexural strength of 71 ± 6 MPa and impact strength of 50.4 ± 2.8 kJ/m² in the XY plane demonstrate solid mechanical resilience of the material. Before printing, drying at 55 ± 5 °C is recommended to ensure consistent print results.
