Description
The D-Link DGS-1008P is an unmanaged Layer 2 switch with eight RJ45 ports for Gigabit Ethernet and a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s. Thanks to its fanless design, the device operates completely silently and can be placed directly at the workplace, for example in small offices or in a home office.
Four of the eight ports support Power over Ethernet according to the 802.3af standard with a PoE budget of 52 W, allowing end devices such as IP cameras or access points to be powered via the existing network cable. An integrated overvoltage protection interrupts the power supply in case of error and thus protects the switch and connected devices. A cable diagnostics function also helps to quickly detect cable breaks or short circuits.
Power is supplied via an external power supply, the MAC address table holds 4000 entries. With a height of 1U, the switch is also suitable for rack mounting.
