Description
The Cycplus L7 is a rear light for the seatpost that integrates a millimeter-wave radar in addition to lighting. It monitors the space behind the bike and detects approaching vehicles with relative speeds of 6 to 160 km/h at a distance of up to 160 meters. The horizontal detection angle of ±20° and vertical angle of ±5° also allow early detection when turning, without the need to look back. For the warning function, a compatible ANT+-capable bike computer or corresponding smartwatch is required, as the connection is via ANT+ or BLE 5.0.
The single LED provides a luminous flux of 40 lumens and is recognizable from many directions thanks to its 270° viewing angle. The modes Constant light, Blinking, Breathing and Radar are available, each suitable for different riding situations day or night. The 2000 mAh battery charges via USB-C and provides up to 25 hours in bright blinking mode or up to 36 hours in radar mode depending on the mode. The plastic housing is protected against splashing according to IPX6 and is designed for an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C.
