Description
The Ancel S3000 is a diagnostic leak detector for numerous vehicle systems that optionally works with smoke or compressed air. The two operating modes can be activated independently via separate buttons, allowing the test to be adapted directly to the respective system without modification. The device is suitable for EVAP, Turbo, EGR, Intake, Fuel, Cooling, Exhaust, and Vacuum systems, among others.
For smoke testing, 20 ml of test oil per cycle is sufficient to make leaks visible without having to disassemble the system. On the front of the housing, a pressure gauge in PSI and a flow meter in LPM display the pressure and volume of the injected smoke or air, which allows for an assessment of leak size. The operating pressure is 0.5 to 0.8 bar, the flow capacity is less than 6 l/min.
The housing is made of metal, the device is powered by a 12 V and 6 A car battery and can be connected via a 2.5 m long power cable as well as a hose of the same length. An overheat protection activates at 75 °C, and the leak detector is also frost-resistant down to -20 °C, making it suitable for use in the workshop at cooler temperatures.
